A Bit of a Buzz at Busy Bees Nurseries

There was a buzz around the country this month, as children and staff from Busy Bees nurseries attempted to break a world record for the highest number of people dressed as bumble bees!
Thousands of little ones from Busy Bees nurseries dressed up for the challenge, sporting wings, antennae, and black and yellow stripes! Some of the nurseries made their own costumes, while others had painted the children’s faces.
The record attempt is part of Busy Bees’ involvement with the Department of Health’s national campaign Change4Life, and aims to raise awareness of the initiative. Many nurseries got active on the day in their costumes, ‘buzzing’ round parks, or making healthy ‘bee-shaped’ snacks.
Throughout the rest of July, there will be lots of lively activities held for the children that will not only be fun, but active and healthy too! Busy Bees will also be distributing around 16,000 ‘Busy Bees Change4Life’ packs to parents within the nurseries, offering guidance to keep their family healthy and active.
With thousands of people taking part in 125 of our Busy Bees nurseries, we are hoping everyone’s efforts will see us achieve a world record.
