The Children at BAE Nursery in Warton have had a fantastic week celebrating all things European. Each day of the week was themed on a different country

On Monday we held a French Day and had a special visit from an early years French Teacher who led a variety of games and songs introducing the language.

Tuesday was Italy day and we held a special cooking with me session making our own lasagne for lunch and then Pizza for tea. We also listened to some Opera to see if we could work out what they were singing!

On Wednesday we read some fairy stories by the Brothers Grimm as part our our German day, We also tasted a variety of german sausages for tea!

Thursday took us to Ireland as we learnt to do some traditional Irish dance steps and all dressed in green for the day!

Friday was party day as we held a Spanish beach party. The main classroom was filled with sand and a paddling pool provided the sea.

Nursery manager Naomi Jackson explained "The children all brought a swimming costume into nursery and we spent the day pretending to be on a nice sunny beach. It was great fun all of the children were involved from the babies to the pre-school"
