Bird Watch Week
On the 18th January, little ones from Busy Bees Day Nursery at Blythe Valley in Solihull took part in the Big Garden Birdwatch.
The national event is held by the Royal Society of the Protection of Birds (RSPB) to encourage people to learn more about the birds in their garden. The Big Garden Birdwatch is the world's biggest bird survey, and provides the trust with a vital snapshot of the birds present in the UK each winter.
Children and staff from the nursery used counting sheets provided by the RSPB to make a note of all the different kind of birds they saw in the nursery garden. As well as this, the little ones made a recycled birdfeeder and food for the birds.
