On 18th September 2011, Busy Bees nursery in Walsgrave teamed up with The Doctor Joe Jaffe Hospital Support Charity to raise funds to provide life-saving equipment for the Cardiac Neonatal Baby Unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital by undertaking The Ejection Seat Reverse Bunjee Challenge in Coventry.

The incredible encounter found some of the brave volunteers, including the nursery manager, seated in an open framed spherical metal cage attached by Bunjee cords to 140ft telescopic towers. Being catapulted skyward, reaching a height of 200ft in less than 1.4 seconds!

Nursery Manager, Jemma Matthews, said: “What a great cause, but never again!”
