Busy Babies at Chingford...

Busy Babies is a new initiative that has transformed our baby room into a unique area that will help develop and stimulate your baby's senses...

The initiative uses everyday objects coloured in high contrasting tones to encourage babies to reach and explore. Research suggests using high contrasting tones, such as black and white, creates an area that is simple yet effective way of stimulating a baby's brain.

Bold, geometrical images can hold their interest and help the focus, and areas rich in high quality displays are necessary to promote the baby's visual and physical development. These images have been introduced into nursery, which will make visible enhancements within the environment where babies are nurtured and celebrated.

Staff at Busy Bees have received training, to enhance their already experienced skills, on how this programme will have a positive impact on the baby room at nursery.

  • High contrasts of black and white images and materials
  • Textured materials to create a multi sensory and cosy feel to the space
  • Baby boxes-created with photos of the special people in their lives to support emotional development and well-being
  • Tranquil space for relaxation and calmness created using the colours of lilac and violet
