Busy Bees Bring Bears to Nursery

On the 25th June, Busy Bees Nursery at Glenalmond took part in ‘Bring Your Bear’ day, a campaign run by Action Medical Research or 'Action'.

Action helps fund research into childhood diseases and disabilities. Paddington bear is the star of ‘Bring Your Bear’ day, and the event is held in June to celebrate Paddington’s birthday on 25th June.

Each year children bring their teddy bear to school or nursery for the day in exchange for £1 to help raise money for the Touching Tiny Lives Appeal for sick and vulnerable babies.

All donations go towards research to find answers to help reduce premature birth and pregnancy complications.

Children and staff at Busy Bees nursery brought their favourite teddy into nursery for the day, and enjoyed a special Teddy Bears picnic in the local park.

Nursery Manager, Ruby Sharma, said: "The children loved sharing their favourite teddies with their friends at nursery and bringing them to a special ‘Teddy Bears picnic’. Over the years, Action have raised a lot of money to help put a stop to children suffering through disease and disability, and Busy Bees are very pleased to have contributed to helping the charity’s cause."
