Roald Dahl is the best selling children’s author of classic books, whose famous stories include ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’, ‘The BFG’, ‘The Wiches’ and many more.

Children and staff at the nursery celebrated the occasion by making book marks, reading and listening to our favourite Roald Dahl stories and making our very own Wonka’s Whipple-Scrumptious Fudgemallow Delight!!!

Nursery Manager, Loraine Middleton, said: “The children love Roald Dahl stories, which is testament to the popularity his stories have across the generations. Roald Dahl’s stories capture the children’s imaginations, and they especially love hearing about the great adventures the characters go on.

The children had lots of fun, and we will definitely be celebrating Roald Dahl Day next year.”
