Busy Bees nurseries are giving all of their parents free, exclusive recipe folders containing 36 healthy recipe cards, developed by Busy Bees and celebrity chef, Phil Vickery.
Busy Bees have enjoyed a great year working in partnership with Michelin-Starred celebrity chef, Phil Vickery, as part of a major campaign to promote healthy eating. Phil worked with the nurseries’ catering teams, and an expert on child nutrition, to devise healthy, tasty new recipes to be included in the nursery menus.
These new recipes have been introduced to the nurseries, and will now be handed out to approximately 15,000 families in an easy-to-handle ring binder, giving parents the chance to recreate Phil’s tasty recipes at home for all the family!
The meals aim to provide the children with a healthy, balanced diet, with recipes such as "Tuna, Potato and Basil Bake," "Sticky Lime Chicken Strips," and "Banana, Yoghurt and Fruit Honey Smoothie."
Top chef, Phil Vickery said "I’m working with Busy Bees as it’s important to work with children from an early age to develop good habits and a greater understanding of the need to eat a variety of foods. We have refined the existing Busy Bees recipes and looked at how we can reduce fats, salts and sugars to create a tasty, healthier balanced menu that children will love."
Operations Director, Marg Randles, said "Busy Bees endeavour to provide freshly prepared quality food to all of the children in our nurseries. The recipe folders we are handing out to parents are a great way to inspire mums and dads, and offer them a variety of healthy recipes they can cook at home for the family."
Marg Randles goes onto say, "Phil Vickery has been a great inspiration to the nursery chefs and Busy Bees hope to work with him again in the future."
