Busy Bees in York will continue to encourage 'Fitter children for a fitter future' as children aged over 2 years are challenged to complete 2, 4, 6 and eventually 8 miles of physical activity over the coming year.

Busy Bees nurseries across the UK are launching a unique physical activity initiative, the Golden Mile.

This exciting interactive fitness activity will not only promote a healthy lifestyle, it will also raise money for the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust as children will be sponsored by family and friends to achieve the target of 8 miles.

Children who take part in the Busy Bees Golden Mile will be provided with a family progress card so golden miles can be recorded at home too!  Children will be rewarded with certificates and medals along the way to keep them motivated and to celebrate their achievements.
