In Australia, the day is a national holiday, with celebrations and parties being held across the country. The Nursery held their own celebrations by having a fancy dress day. The children also made Australian flags and signs using collage materials and we sold lamington cakes and snags in a roll for breakfast to parent’s.

Nursery Manager, Lisa Stevens, said “Australia Day was an excellent opportunity for the nursery to introduce different cultures to the children. It was great fun exploring the country’s different customs and wildlife. The children loved getting involved in all the festivities!”
