Busy Bees are pleased to present......
It’s all Our Imagination Station go at Busy Bees in Nottingham - City Hospital
Now trialling in nursery, 'Our Imagination Station'
The project follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), using the popular method of role-play to develop children’s imagination and communication skills. Role-play is thought to not only to encourage creativity, but also enhance a child’s individuality.
Nursery Staff have been provided with specially developed activity cards, which are designed to link into the EYFS, building relationships with their peers and developing skills such as communication, problem solving, creativity and movement.
Children will be playing games making models and rolling with based around popular themes such as, the Beach, and Space.
The programme has been developed by Busy Bees Childcare following research results that suggest cultivating a child’s imagination will have a direct affect on the adult they will become. By using role-play themed based on a child’s individual interests, Busy Bees hope to further develop their imagination and creativity.
Childcare and Curriculum Manager, Lisa Snell, said: “Play is a natural activity for children, as they are born with an instinct to play and communicate. ‘Our Imagination Station’ will enhance this development and provide a wealth of learning experiences for all the children attending Busy Bees.”
The initiative will be fully launched in the Autumn this year.
