Busy Bees get active at Manchester City Ground
On Wednesday 18th January Manchester City opened up their legendary training pitches to an ecstatic bunch of Busy Bees Nursery children and staff from Sale, Salford and Fallowfield so that they could complete their ‘Golden Miles’ in style.
World class French footballer, Patrick Vieira, led the way around the football ground with the child and staff eagerly following. After retiring in July last year Vieira is now the Football Development Executive for Manchester City with a role to oversee aspects such as youth development, commercial partners and the club's social responsibility programme, "City in the Community".
Legendary Mario Balotelli and Micah Richards, were also at the grounds and stopped to sign autographs and talk to the children about their day.
Busy Bees nurseries will also be visiting Morecambe and Preston North End Football grounds, who all kindly invited Lancashire Busy Bees nurseries to complete more Golden Miles at their grounds.
136 Busy Bee nurseries across the UK have signed up to the ‘Golden Mile,’ a national physical activity initiative, as part of our commitment to promote healthy living in early years.
