This week we will be focusing on having an even healthier lifestyle and doing a wide range of activities based around this fantastic theme. Every day we will be doing a different activity to celebrate this week, including:

Monday – We have the health visitor coming to talk to the children about how to keep healthy and safe.
Tuesday – 5–A–Day, the children will be making vegetable snacks and their own fruit bags to take home to share with parents.
Wednesday – We will be having a sponsored bike ride to help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis charity which is Busy Bees chosen charity to support this year. The children will also have the opportunity to dress up as Busy Bees on this day too as it is also Bee Active day for all the busy Bees nurseries. We are hoping to break a world record having as many children as we can dressed up as bees whilst doing their sponsored bike ride. The children will ride round the garden as many times as they can without stopping and at the end, each child will be presented with a certificate with a picture of them in action on it!! This I’m sure will be great fun!
Thursday – This is going to be our exercise day, with all the children and staff joining in, doing a variety of exercises throughout the day. The children will learn why its important to do exercise and how they could do exercise at home too. Some of the exercises will include: Skipping, Dancing, Pretending to be animals, Balloon Play, Trampoline bouncing, Hula Hooping and many more.
Friday – At the end of the week we will be holding a Hawiian Beach Party for both the children and parents to come along and have fun at. In the morning the children will learn the importance of wearing sun cream and hats and be given the chance to try some new and exciting healthy foods. The beach party will start from 2:30pm and weather permitting will be out in the garden. We will have the gazebo and umbrellas up to protect the children from the sun whilst they have lots of fun playing in the paddling pools, on the water slide and in the sand with their friends and parents if they can attend. The afternoon will finish off with a party tea picnic in the garden.

This I’m sure will finish of a fantastic week enjoyed by all.
