The children who have signed up for the Golden Mile challenge have been participating in activities at nursery and at home with their families. The challenge is to achieve a walking distance of ten miles between now and October 2012.

At nursery the children go on walks around the playground, including bear hunts and mini obstacle courses to make the challenge exciting and fun. This encourages children to enjoy being active and having a healthy life style.

The staff are getting involved and will be walking a six mile walk on Saturday the 10th March to show their support for the challenge. Parents and the children are welcome to join in the walk and help clock up more of their Golden Miles. 

We would like to congratulate the following children who have achieved the first certificate. Sophie, William M and Ryan have all achieved the bronze certificate, this is a fantastic achievement!
