On Wednesday 26th October Heatherton Nursery celebrated Diwali. Children and staff wore traditional dress or bright and sparkly clothes. We enjoyed a themed menu of curry, rice and poppadoms and samosas for tea. Craft activites and tradtional stories were available for the children to take part in throughtout the day.

We were lucky to be joined by a dhol player who came and led a light parade around the nursery grounds. The children carried torches and danced to the beat of the drum. Pre school children were then able to have a go on his drum amd ask questions about it or the festival diwali.
