Family Barbecue a Sizzzling Success

Saturday 6th September was the day of our Busy Bees BBQ.

Despite the rain, families braved the weather and we were able to welcome many new families to the nursery, as well as continue building relationships with existing families.

The food was enjoyed by all, with plenty of burgers and hot dogs to go round! Parents could also browse the Smallprint stall, for fingerprint jewellery and the Usbourne book stall, both run by local women.

Some great prizes were won in the raffle, a 3 course meal for two at G Casino, a £20 gift voucher for Smallprint, a Fruit Hamper from Granny Smiths (who supply our fruit & veg) and a bottle of wine.

We raised £35 from sales of raffle tickets which will be donated to the Rising Sun Domestic Violence Refuge, our local charity of the year.

All in all, a great social occasion enjoyed by all, thank you to everyone who attended, helped out or donated.
