Farmyard Fun at Chatham

Children at Chatham nursery meeting a lamb on their Farmyard Fun Open Day

On 8th August, Leapfrog Day Nursery in Chatham held a Farmyard Fun Open Day for children, parents and local residents.

Everyone enjoyed the sunshine while Farmer Ken took the children to view all the different farmyard animals, including pigs, chickens, lambs and many more. The children were able to touch the animals, holding the chicks and rubbing the pig’s bellies!

The day managed to raise over £650 for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Busy Bees’ sponsored charity for 2009.

PR Co-ordinator Kirsty Bush, said: “The day was fantastic! The children loved interacting with the animals, but it was 3 week old lamb, Minty, that stole all our hearts!

The total we’ve managed to raise for Cystic Fibrosis is great, we hope it goes some way towards making a difference to the lives of those affected by the condition.”
