The older children discussed fire safety and the dangers around fire but also talked about how fires keep us warm and allow us to cook food. They talked about how fire people are experienced in their work and how their job is very important.  To support these activities the children had access to books, created their own pictures of fire fighters, and played with the fire engines in nursery.
