Food fun at Busy Bees in York
On Monday we enjoyed making teddy bear sandwiches for our Teddy Bear's picnic. Rafael from Luig's restaurant came to nursery on Tuesday and made fresh pizza with Pre-School. On Wednesday the children baked and decorated cupcakes to sell on our cake stall. Thursday was 'Big Cook Day' with Busy Bees chef, Matt. The children helped to prepare a whole fresh salmon into fish fingers and made baked beans, which they enjoyed for their tea. On Friday Reverend David Casswell visited nursery and joined the children as they baked bread.
Our Harvest Festival collection, in aid of Carecent, York's ecumenical centre for homeless and disadvanteged members of the community, was given to Reverend Casswell, along with the £42 raised by the cake stall.
*Thank You to everyone who supported our fundraising*
