'Golden Mile' comes to Portsmouth
The 'Golden Mile' initiative comes to Busy Bees in Portsmouth with our launch week also celebrating the arrival of the Olympic Games!
Busy Bees understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and we believe that we can shape future generations by introducing them to fitness that is not only energetic, but fun too!
By introducing ‘The Golden Mile’ into our nursery, we hope to bring to the children an interactive fitness challenge that they can really get involved in. The Golden Mile has been developed with child development and stimulation in mind, and encourages children aged two and over to not only complete their miles, but think about how they can be carried out, whether it be running, skipping, or jumping. The Golden Miles challenge also encourages them to interact with their peers, and keep a record of their progress throughout the year.
This is a challenge that the whole family can get involved in, as miles can be completed at home, as well as in nursery.
Our Golden Mile week starts from Monday 23rd January, with the children taking part in activities such as 'Wake and Shake on the Golden Mile' and 'Medal making'. Please see your key person for more details or visit busybees.golden-mile.org
