Grand Opening of our new Outdoor Area!
Tibbi Tots is proud to announce the Grand Opening of our new Outdoor Area!
The new area was officially opened on Thursday 12th March 2009. Children and parents cut many red ribbons to open sections such as "Our Sensory Garden", "The Growing Area" and "Our Small World Area".
Tibbi Tots recently received a substantial grant from Sefton Early Years Department and funding from Busy Bees too. This has enabled us to realise a dream we have had for many years-to have a lovely area where children can grow plants and vegetables, hunt bugs and mini-beasts and have space for quieter activities such as reading and investigating nature and weather.
We also have a Small World Area where children can bring their dinosaurs, zoo animals and role-play figures to play on the "terrain"!
There is still plenty of space for physical play too!
Children are still able to walk, run, balance, ride scooters and bikes as well as make and explore creative activities.
Manager Sharon Mackenzie said "We are so pleased that our Outdoor Provision has been significantly enhanced by the addition of these areas. The garden looks beautiful and all the children are having great fun exploring all the new areas. We feel there is something for all the children here, from babies to pre-schoolers!"
