The children are learning about the things plants need to grow; they have been talking about water and sunlight.  To help the children understand what plants need, they have been planting cress seeds in various places around the nursery.  Some have been planted on a window sill getting lots of sunlight whilst others have been put in a cupbiard in the dark.  The children regularly look at the seeds to see if they have started to grow.

In the coming weeks the children will take a trip to the local garden centre to buy more seeds to grow in the garden.
