Our "grow your own" initiative that we launched earlier in the year has been a great success!!!!

The children planted their green bean seeds and have watched with great excitement as the plants have grown over the summer months. The children have so far collected 799 beans from the plants and there are still a few more to go.

The children have then enjoyed eating the beans as part of their healthy lunch, which was prepared by our Chef & Assistant Chef, Sonia and Mandy.

It has all been such a valuable experience for the children to take part in, this was also linked in with the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and we have also continued this through with their families, as every child was given a packet of beans to plant and recipe cards to take part in the activity at home.
