Helping our Heroes at Nursery!

Helping our Heroes at Nursery!

Heroes were celebrated at Busy Bees Nurseries across Hertfordshire and the West Midlands during June, as fun activities were held for children and parents to raise vital funds for the charity, Help for Heroes.

Each of the nurseries held a special ‘Heroes Open Week,’ which included various hero-themed activities including a mini assault course and a creative day, where children had the chance to make cards and presents for their Dads, just in time for Father’s Day. Special visits from firemen, nurses, policemen and other community heroes were also arranged throughout the week.

‘Family Fun Days’ were held for children, parents, and the local community on Saturday 12th June and included a one minute silence in remembrance of all the brave soldiers who have served for their country. This was followed by a superheroes fancy dress parade and an afternoon of fun-filled activities for both children and adults!

Thanks to the generosity of Busy Bees parents and children and local communities, the week long extravaganza raised over £9,000 across the nurseries, all of which will be donated to Help for Heroes to help servicemen injured in action.
