We have added the worms to our wormarys. This is our first experience of having a wormary and we are still experimenting on using it, however the children have all loved looking for worms both at nursery and at home.
 

The preschool area have also used there magnifying glasses to find insects in the garden both real and toy ones, they have talked about the different insects and how they help the gardens.
 

The toddlers also went on a ladybird hunt in the garden and then created their own ladybirds which are currently on display in the role play room. Our first steps looked at the pretend bugs, the staff hid them in different places for the children to find while playing to encourage new areas of learning and offer different experiences.
