On the 26th October, children from Busy Bees nursery at BAE Systems, Warton received a visit from Starchasers, who showed the little ones how to make their very own space rocket! The visit is a follow up to the nursery’s week-long celebration of World Space Week.

Starchaser's set up their education programme, which follows the National Curriculum, to ignite curiosity and creativity through interactive learning of space the using rocketry as a focus. During their visit to the nursery, Starchaser’s  showed the children  how to design, build, and fly their very own rocket. The children will even get to test their creations using a special air launcher!

Nursery Manager, Naomi Jackson said; “The children are really excited to have the chance to make they very own rockets, and can even take them to fly at home!

“The nursery children have been taking part in lots of exciting activities, during space week and I’m sure the children will be amazed at the weird and wonderful world of science. The little ones are still young, and by introducing them to science now, they will see that the subject is not only fun, but accessible to all.
