March 2009 Activities Update
At TLC Warwick we celebrated our 9th Birthday by inviting the children and staff to come to nursery in fancy dress.
We asked the children to make a £1 donation towards the Cystic Fibrosis Trust the company’s chosen charity for this year, and in doing so we raised over £30.00.
The children had a fun packed day including party games and a tea party and the children had a piece of Birthday cake to take home.
The Warwick Courier came to take photo’s of the event which was published in the mid week courier on the 18th of March.
A Mothers Day Treat
We thought it would be a nice idea to invite some of the children’s mums into the nursery on Friday 13th and join their child for tea to give them a special treat.
The mum’s had a wonderful time and the weather was quite nice outside so some of them were able to sit outside in the garden during the special tea.
The children presented their mums with a bunch of daffodils. Some of the mum’s were able to stay for the rest of the afternoon which they thoroughly enjoyed.
Little Green Fingers
The children are starting to develop green fingers children in the Wonderland and Pre-school room have been planting lots of flower and vegetable seeds.
We have join the Potato Council and have planted our rocket and vales emerald seeds and hopfully we will have a good crop of potatoes in the autumn.
We had an unexpected visitor in the garden last week when the children found a frog and thought it was fascinating watching it jump around.
The children were very excited and told their mums and dad’s what they had found, in fact so much was the case that it sparked a new interest and as a result the children have made frog mobiles with dangling legs to celebrate their discovery!
