Mardley Hill Celebrates Outstanding Ofsted

Busy Bees Day Nursery at Mardley Hill is celebrating after receiving an Outstanding result following their Ofsted inspection in January 2009.

The nursery achieved an outstanding judgement in ALL areas of the inspection which includes meeting the needs of children through the new EYFS framework, leadership and management and the quality and standards of the nursery and the care provided.

Busy Bees at Mardley Hill was the first nursery within the group to achieve this grade following the implementation of the new EYFS framework introduced in September 2008.

Here are just a few of the fantastic comments Ofsted state in their inspection report about Busy Bees at Mardley Hill…

“Overall the provision is outstanding.  Busy Bees Day Nursery provides extremely well for all children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)”

“The staff create a warm and welcoming environment through excellent use of space and resources”

“Excellent safeguarding policies and practice ensure that children are well protected”

“Parents and carers receive excellent information regarding their children including all aspects of their welfare and any achievements”

“Children’s good health and welfare is exceptional”

“All fruit and vegetables provided for the children’s meals and snacks are organically produced.  Children also have opportunities to plant, grow, harvest and eat fruit and vegetables of their own”

“Excellent staff awareness and exemplary security measures ensure that the children are able to safely and freely explore their environment and make choices”

“Children are very well settled and comfortable in this environment, confident in the knowledge that their needs are met by the key adults”

“Children are provided with creative and imaginative resources and play opportunities to help them make excellent progress across all areas of learning and development”

“The outdoor play areas are extremely well resourced and creatively laid out.  Doors from the downstairs rooms lead directly to the play areas which are used as an extended learning environment when weather permits”

Nursery Managers, Susie and Laura said, “We are delighted with the result, and feel it is well deserved!  All of the staff at the nursery worked hard exceptionally hard to implement the new EYFS framework.  Our staff team recognise that the children’s health and safety is of the greatest importance. We value the partnership we have with parents, and would to thank each one of them for their continued support.  We will continue in our commitment to provide quality childcare, learning and lots of fun in a clean and safe environment.”
