Both Susie and I were nominated for the award by our Senior Room Manager, Amanda and our team at Mardley Hill, and were very successful being shortlisted from the 112 applicants down to just 5 managers. We attended an interview day at the Hilton Hotel on Friday 7th October and we were interviewed by a panel of three judges who work for various company's within the Childcare and Education sector.

All finalists then attended the prestigious awards ceremony on Saturday 26th November and along with us we were lucky enough to be able to take Amanda, Sue, who is my Mum and also works in the baby unit (she was also our chief photographer!) Marcia (our Regional Director), Keelie Leahy (our Operations Director) and Lynn Woodward (our Company Director) also attended with us and the evening was a great success.

Dick and Dom who regularly present children's television presented the awards and we came second which is a fantastic achievement from 112 applicants, we feel very proud of our achievements as managers and feel very fortunate to be part of a truly fantastic nursery and wonderful company. The evening was rounded off with dancing until carriages at midnight. A great night was had by all and we would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone from Busy Bees for making it such a special night!
