National wildlife week
We've been on a wildlife hunt.... what did we see in our locality? We used the magnifying glasses and saw worms, a centipede, lots of woodlice and a man walking with his dogs!! We saw some birds too and when we looked in our bird book we saw that we'd seen a blue tit and two ring necked doves!!
We had a fantastic visit from wellybobs mobile zoo. They brought a pony, a pig and a sheep with them as well as small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. We could stroke them as long as we were very careful about washing our hands afterwards.
Lancashire hawks and Owls paid us a visit too. They brought barn owls, tawny owls and tiny owls for us to look at. We learnt all about what they eat and where they live in the wild and how they hunt for their food.
We've painted pictures of all the things that we've seen to display in the classroom. Come along and have a look at our fabulous art work!
