Two fantastic new garden areas have been created to give the under 2's and over 2's children an enriched outdoor learning and fun environment in which to explore. We have developed a large covered sandplay area and a cruising circle to aid younger children whilst they are learning to stand by themselves along with sensory planting and low bridge to explore. Our over 2's has been developed with a working water pump which pours down a shallow pebble stream in to a large covered sand play area, there is also a textured pathway, enabling children to expereience the different textures whilst cycling over it as well as using this for different rubbings for artwork, we have also created a large grow your own area, where the children have sessions with our chef and plant their own fruit and veg, and help to care for this whilst it is growing and then prepare it for a meal once it is ready for cultivating. A large natural grassed area has also been created in this area.
