Busy Bees directors Lynn Woodward, Marg Randles, Jo Dalby and Simon Irons, were joined by friends and family to take on the challenge of climbing the 4409ft Ben Nevis. It took the team a total of 8 hours to complete the walk, which was in aid of several local charities.
Burntwood Nursery Manager Netty Healey has been in training for several months and had chosen to raise funds for Edward’s Trust, a local charity who provide accommodation and support for families during their children’s cancer treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Netty is delighted to support Edward’s Trust to raise the profile of this wonderful charity and support their work. Other nurseries that sponsored the team have chosen their own local charities to support through the challenge.
Managing Director, Lynn Woodward said, “ Our Nurseries do a fantastic job every year raising money for their chosen charities and we feel it was our turn to show support.”
One of the director’s friends, Sue Lote, who joined the climb, raised money for the Tesco Charity of the Year, Whizz Kids, providing mobility equipment for disabled children. The Ben Nevis team would like to thank everyone for their support, and are now looking forward to the next challenge!
