The third outdoor area is currently being developed as a natural area. Flower beds, mini beast corner, compost heap and rockery will be included and children will access this area with key workers to promote learning, development and understanding of the world. Children will develop autonomy and independence by maintaining the areas, planting, digging and exploring insects and mini beasts, guided by staff to ensure health and safety at all times.
