Nursery Manager Receives Manager of the Year Award
Nursery Manager Receives Manager of the Year Award
Busy Bees Nursery Manager at Chatham, Sarah Young, has been awarded ‘Nursery Manager of the Year’ at the Busy Bees annual Managers Conference awards 2012.
Sarah overcame 137 other Managers in the nursery group after meeting the awards criteria. Marg Randles, Managing Director at Busy Bees explains;
“Sarah has demonstrated that she consistently goes above and beyond her duties as a Nursery Manager, leading the nursery team at Busy Bees in Chatham with energy and enthusiasm and demonstrating unfaltering passion and commitment to the children in her care, the nursery and the staff team.”
The nursery received a rare ‘Outstanding’ in all areas throughout the nursery from their second ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report, including in leadership and management, safeguarding, quality of the provision, resources, equality and diversity, partnerships with parents, and care. Less than 10% of early year’s settings in the UK hold this result.
Sarah is a proactive Manager and proud Mother of her little boy, Tristan Felix, who attends the Busy Bees nursery in Chatham. Sarah writes a successful Blog, ‘The Busy Bees Mummy,’ where she describes herself as “a dedicated, doting mummy to a very unique 2 and a half year old son Mr Felix...”
Sarah has worked at Busy Bees in Chatham for seven and a half years, working her way up to Manager after starting as an apprentice. Sarah holds an NVQ level 3 and a National Diploma in Childcare and Education and is currently working towards Leadership and Capability to further her knowledge on management techniques.
Sarah Young was delighted with the nurseries award, commenting;
“I am very excited to receive this award over my 137 fellow Nursery Managers, all of whom are fantastic and dedicated to what they do. I am extremely passionate about providing the best possible environment for children to develop and watch them grow, and the fact that this award is received in recognition of that feels fantastic.”
