A while back the children planted some runner beans in the garden area and have taken very good care of them. They have watered them and watched them grow. When the beans were big enough the children were able to pick them. Most of them had grown really big and the children opened up some of them to look inside. We all had a discussion about how they grew and what the children thought they would taste like. The children gave most of the beans to Nicole our cook after they had washed and peeled them to go into their lunch. They tasted yummy.
