The children at Quedgeley have been completeing laps around the Golden Mile track by walking, jumping, skipping and running. This activity has encouraged the children to have fun with their friends, whilst at the same time being fit and healthy. The activities have also helped the children develop through exploration and captures their imaginations.

The children at Quedgeley have created a track with lots of Golden footprints, banners and balloons in the walk way to the nursery. Why don't you join in with the fun and raise money for the Dame Kelly Holmes trust at the same time. Here are just some of the activities you can do as a family at home.

Mile 1: Challenge your child to explore their surroundings and give them a list of things to spot on the journey, like a leaf, a bird, a blue car and a footprint.

Mile 2: Go on a listening walk to see how many sounds you can hear along the way.

Mile 3: Collect items from the great outdoors, like leaves, twigs and bark and create a huge natural display.
