Our preschool children were shown pictures of a prayer mat and discussed who used prayer mats and why. The children had opportunities to re create their own prayer mats and mosques using a variety of paints, glue, sticking materials and drawing equipment. The children found these activities inquisitive and asked many questions which helped to build the understanding on the Muslim religion.

Our toddlers looked at the Muslim symbol the crescent moon, and they were then able to re-create the symbol using chalks. The children also looked at Muslim clothing and tried different items on.
