Taking part in the reindeer race helps the children's confidence and self-esteem. The race wasn't about who won, but about everybody joining in and having fun! Linking to the EYFS children will 'form friendships with other children' and 'begin to make-believe by pretending' when they join in activities like these. All the children really enjoyed watching each other and copying actions from each other.
