Relaunch Open Day Success
Everyone received a warm welcome with a champagne reception as the staff team proudly showed off their smart new uniforms.
The Deputy Major and Mayoress as our special guests, cut the red ribbon and declared that we were officially Busy Bees Ryhope Village. The deputy Major spoke highly of the nursery and the excellent facilities that we have to offer the parents and children of the local community.
Our favourite magician, Mr Windbags kept everyone entertained with his funny tricks and balloon modelling. The children had their face painted as tigers, butterflies and clowns. The bouncy castle was very popular and we kept our youngest baby guests entertained with messy activities and song times.
The staff and children put on their special T Shirts to demonstrate the Wake and Shake dance and even the deputy Mayor joined in the fun.
The food tasting from our new menus was very popular. The pilchard and cream cheese wraps, caribbean curry and fruity rice were a hit and no-one guessed that the secret ingredient in the chocolate cake was beetroot!
Everyone was offered a piece of a cake which was a replica of the Busy Bee, expertly made by.a member of staff.
Many children and their parents had their photograph take with the Busy Bee who also joined in the Wake and Shake dance.
Thank you to everyone who came and joined in the fun
