Royal Celebrations at Nursery
On the 26th April 2011 children and staff from Busy Bees Nursery in Cheadle joined in the national celebrations by holding a Royal Wedding to mark the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The nursery invited a celebrity guest a Kate Middleton Look alike to celebrate with them.
The local community were invited to celebrate the occasion at the nursery, and received goodies including special Royal Wedding crowns, as well as Union Jack flags. The nursery staff and children have been busy preparing for the events, and decorated the nursery throughout with bunting, balloons, and children’s paintings created especially for the occasion.
Lots of fun activities had been planned for the event including dressing up as Prince & Princesses, face painting, a party tea, making wedding cards for the royal couple and special party games.
Nursery Manager, Jennie Rahali said: “This was a great opportunity for families in the local community to come together and celebrate a momentous occasion. It was a royal party for a royal occasion, with a fun and lively atmosphere that got everyone in the celebratory spirit. We wanted to make sure we put on a great event that children will remember into adulthood.”
