Sport Relief Day

Children and parents alike were star struck at the weekend, when a real-life children’s celebrity visited Busy Bees at Shenley to celebrate and join in the Sports Relief Fun Day.

Busy Bees had a special visit from Lazy Town’s very own ‘Sportacus’, who met all of the children and joined in the fun and games of the day.

The Sports Relief Fun Day was attended by all the nursery staff and children, and their friends and family, as well as the local community. Other activities throughout the day included a bouncy castle, penalty shoot out with Soccer Tots, balloon modelling, art and crafts, face painting plus lots more.

The nursery raised £120 in total in aid of Sports Relief from the different activities carried out on the day.

Nursery Manager, Mia Cole, said; “Everyone had a fantastic time and the children especially enjoyed meeting Sportacus, a real life hero!

It was great to hold a fun day in aid of Sports Relief and we were thrilled with the support we received from not only our own parents, but also from the local community.”
