Step into Quality at Busy Bees

Step into Quality at Busy Bees

Busy Bees Nursery in Lancaster is celebrating after receiving the nationally accredited ‘Lancashire Step into Quality Award,’ part of the Lancashire Quality Award (LQA).

The LQA scheme was pioneered by Lancashire County Council's Sure Start, Early Years and Childcare Service as a quality assurance scheme to help all childcare providers across Lancashire to demonstrate good practice and develop high quality services for children and parents.

Busy Bees Nursery in Lancaster was accredited with the award after submitting evidence of following the areas of the Lancashire Quality Steps, as well as undergoing several internal assessments by Lancashire County Council. The Quality Steps cover the following areas; environment, interactions, routines, key person, parents, and leadership and management.

The nursery will be presented with a certificate for their achievement at an official award ceremony later this year.

Julie Adams, Nursery Manager, is very proud of her team’s achievement, “Working towards these standards has been an invaluable tool in enabling the nursery to evaluate their practice, make improvements, change attitudes and introduce new initiatives.

“The nursery will endeavour to carry on the good work that has formulated throughout our work with Quality Steps. Children’s care and safety will always be a priority for Busy Bees and we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to providing quality childcare in a safe and happy environment.”
