Our friends from Preston Hedges School very kindly donated some big role play houses they had not used. They came in packages and the children had to decorate and build them first before they could be used. The children were involved from the very first moment and were trying to guess what was inside the very large boxes it came in. The children helped to get the pieces out of the box and lay them on the floor. Next they discussed thier favourite colours and decided which ones to use. The children all worked hard together as a team to make the house very colourful. After it was coloured they had to build it placing all the parts together and making them fit. Once it was finished the children looked at it with big smiles on their faces and it was apparent they had a huge sense of achievement. They have loved playing in the house they made and it has been a popular choice of role play activity.
