Together we make a Difference
Busy Bees held a conference to promote and celebrate best practice throughout each of our nurseries, as our Room Managers from Busy Bees nurseries across the UK were invited to attend an inspiring day listening to expert speakers and sharing thoughts and ideas on how to build on our stimulating nursery environments.
Room Managers from all over the country met at the British Motorcycle museum, where they had the opportunity to listen to Adrian Webster, a motivational speaker, best selling business author and creator of the phenomenon, Polar Bear Pirates.
Childcare experts from Busy Bees discuss topics such as exciting play opportunities, information communication resources providing a welcoming environment for children and creating an exciting room layout to aid child development.
A major focus of the day was making the most of Busy Bees’ outdoor space, and what features can be implemented to further encourage child involvement and development, such as water areas, mini villages, sensory areas, construction areas, and outdoor painting.
Claire Masterson, Room Manager at Busy Bees in Southport, thought the day was very helpful, “I found the day really inspiring and thought the speaker, Adrian Webster was fantastic! The venue was great and it was good for Room Managers to get together and share experiences and ideas.”
Marg Randles, Operations Director at Busy Bees, explains her expectations from the day “Our Room Managers attended from all over the country and showed a great commitment to building on and improving outcomes for children in their nurseries. I look forward to seeing over the forthcoming months the development and implementation of many of the great ideas discussed. The enthusiasm and commitment from our staff help to make the difference in children’s lives in Busy Bees nurseries across the country.
"The conference was a great success and I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organisation.”
The Room Managers Conference is part of a larger project being developed by Busy Bees throughout 2011. Our ‘See the Difference’ campaign ensure that each of our nurseries maintain a high level of care and service by answering to a strict and thorough criteria, and undergoing regular training sessions.
Busy Bees want to continue to challenge and inspire the child’s learning using their individual interests and needs.
