Busy Bees Beverley is piloting innovative new Information Communication Technology software and equipment many of its nurseries to further enhance the group’s implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The computer allows children to work individually or as part of a team learning sharing and turn taking.

Various software packages are also being introduced at the settings as part of the new ICT, including ‘Billy Goat’s Gruff’ and ‘Gingerbread Man.’ The software uses interactive games, puzzles and stories to enhance the children’s creative development, knowledge and understanding, and communications and literacy. Some of the activities include using finger puppets to act out stories, creating role play areas, weaving using wool and lollipop sticks, as well as various craft activities including making animal masks, puppets, and tasty snacks.
