Tour of our nursery

Take a look at our nursery photos. We have different rooms for the different age groups of children.

Baby room

This room is for children aged between 3 months and 13 months. The room has a divide to which there are cots behind. This is to allow sleeping babies to sleep more peacefully and not be distracted by the awake children playing. The staff carryout 5 minute observations on all sleeping children to ensure their safety.

The room is set up in a way so different activities are laid out for the children to explore and play with, as well as toys for them to reach and get for themselves. We understand that the best way for children to learn at this age is through there senses with this in mind we offer a wide range of activities to promote there senses including exploring paint with hands, feet and bodies, goop and material play. The children follow the Early Years Foundations Stage Curriculum ensuring that the development continues to progress.

First Steps
This room is for children aged between 14 months and 2 years. This area is set up for the children to be able to explore a messy room which has got sand, water, painting, musical instruments, material play and mark making available to the. There is also a play room to include the different toys, home area and dressing up clothes. Their rooms lead onto their garden area, allowing them a nice outdoor space to explore and learn about the world around them. The children follow the Early Years Foundations Stage Curriculum ensuring that the development continues to progress.

Toddlers
Our toddler area is for children between 2 and 3. It is set up to have a creative room where the children can access painting sticking, box modelling, musical instruments, sand and water. The play room has opportunities for role play, dressing up, construction, stories and small world activities. The children can free flow between these two rooms and the garden area, to allow them many different opportunities to learn through out the day. The children follow the Early Years Foundations Stage Curriculum ensuring that the development continues to progress.
