Well where to start?

Fantastic news to share - Ofsted visited unexpectedly on Wednesday 26th October 2011, this was to carry out a nursery inspection for our early years provision.

We had a very positive visit and are pleased to say we went from being previously graded as satisfactory to "GOOD", with areas of outstanding.

The inspection report is now available to access, read or print off, on the Ofsted official website, please go and take a look. We're very proud of the inspector's overall report.

Christmas fayre - Saturday 26th November

This was a very busy day, we had 13 families come along for the first time and spend time, talking to staff and looking at all the fantastic facilities we have on offer at Leicester Meridian.

Our Christmas fayre stalls were also very busy - all traders reported having a lovely time, being made to feel very welcome and enjoying the facilities on offer.

Fund raising for Rainbow's - we raised £159.00.

Total raised so far £419.00 - thank you.

By selling home made cakes, refreshments, children's lucky dip, tombola, rainbow wristbands and by guess the weight of the Christmas Cake.

Winner of our Christmas Cake is Becky Fairbairn who guessed the correct weight at 6Ib 11oz. - Happy eating....

Parents Evening - Monday 21st November 2011

The parents of children who attend in Butterflies (1-2years) and Pre school all came along and had ten minute slots with their child's designated key persons.

The staff all said what a great evening they had, chatting with parents and discussing the childrens progress, who their friends are and generally having quality time sharing childrens development.

Children in Need

This was celebrated for a whole week (Monday 14th - Friday 18th November), so all children had the opportunity to dress up, bake homemade cakes/biscuits and take part in the different daily activities planned through out the nursery.

By the end of the week the children had raised £135.69 for this very worthy charity.
