A Birmingham nursery which offers a ‘rich and exciting curriculum’ where children are ‘excited and motivated to learn’ has been given an ‘Outstanding’ rating by Ofsted.
The nursery team at Busy Bees Longbridge on Tessall Lane were praised for ‘an excellent key-person and buddy system’ to ensure that ‘children build strong attachments to staff’.
Staff were recognised for supporting the children’s ‘personal and emotional development’ ensuring their ‘care and learning needs are consistently met’ and ‘continually building children’s self-esteem and sense of achievement through praise and encouragement’.
The report noted that children’s health and physical wellbeing is ‘supported superbly’, with children spending lots of time outdoors being active.
Parent partnerships were given a special mention with parents feeling ‘absolutely delighted with the service they and their children receive’.
Centre Director Jessica Sayfritz and her team were recognised for having a ‘vast knowledge and experience of working with children and their families’ and continually striving to ‘provide the very best care and learning opportunities to all children using the nursery’.
Jessica said: “We are thrilled to have received an Outstanding rating from Ofsted. The inspector highlighted that our staff are passionate about the care they provide and take pride in all they do. It’s thanks to our wonderful, dedicated nursery team that we are celebrating our Outstanding Ofsted.
“This is a huge team effort and we are looking forward to continuing to build on the solid foundation of quality we have in place.”
The inspector commented that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), are ‘supported extremely well’ and ‘effective routines for observing and assessing children’s developments means that possible gaps in learning are swiftly identified’.
Staff wellbeing is also a priority with the inspector commenting that the managers have ‘excellent support systems’ in place for staff.
