About our Nursery
Busy Bees at Bernard Street is a purpose designed day nursery, catering for children from 3 months to 5 years, located just off Catherine Street. The nursery is just 5 minutes from the town centre, and 10 minutes walk from the Thames Link St Albans station. A high standard of care is provided by our friendly and experienced staff team, in bright and welcoming group rooms. The children are separated into group to fully meet their needs and developmental stages, with age appropriate equipment and activities.
The seven rooms are divided as follows:
Baby rooms; ages 3 -15 months
Toddler rooms; 15 months – 2 ½ years
Pre-school groups; 2 ½ - 5 years.
All of the daily activities are planned using the Birth to Three Matters framework or Foundation Stage for pre-school children. Extra curricular activities are provided, for example, Stretch 'n' Grow, Tiny Mites, French lessons, and the Jolly Phonics reading scheme. The dedicated and caring staff team are trained, and encouraged to take on further qualifications. The nursery offers fresh, home cooked meals and snacks throughout the day, prepared on site by our qualified cook, and all dietary requirements can be catered for.
The nursery features a large, secure garden area with all weather surfaces, and a separate baby garden, which the children enjoy daily. The nursery also has its own private car park.
