About our Nursery

surestart logo

This brand new, purpose designed nursery caters for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. It features a large garden with a fantastic external wooden play area. The garden incorporates sand play areas, a sensory garden, and a decked staged area, all fully shaded by mature trees. The nursery is situated in close proximity to the train station.

The children are separated into groups according to age and developmental stage, and each group has a wide selection of age appropriate toys and activities.

Carer using building blocks with young girlOur aim is to provide a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in which the children are able to form relationships, and offer a variety of experiences that will contribute to their overall development, and individual inquisitiveness for learning.

At Busy Bees, we value you as your child's prime educator and aim to become active partners with you in your child's continuing process of education.

As you know, young children are active and eager to learn and delight in discovering their world. Both the content of what children learn and the way in which learning takes place and is experienced by a child is important.

We emphasise first-hand experiences and view play and talk as powerful mediums through which children learn and develop. Our team of skilled and knowledgeable staff hold high expectations of all children. We build on your child's interest, abilities and earlier experiences by sensitive intervention and involvement.

Our curriculum is broad, balanced and relevant to all children. It is appropriate to their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development and incorporates all government guidelines.

As a team, we regularly monitor, review and evaluate our work in order to maintain and achieve high standards, By continually observing children, we are able to base our plans around their individual needs.
